Since Japan is an island country, it has an oceanic climate with mild temperature changes and high rainfall.Also, because it is long from north to south, the climate changes drastically from north to south.Looking at the average temperature for one year, the coldest inland area of Hokkaido and the warmest Okinawa are actually different by more than 15 degrees Celsius.
